Customizing Form Questions

The questions on your form are what your customers fill out when they ask for a quote. Here's how to add, edit, and reorder them.

How the builder is laid out

The builder has three columns: Sections on the left, listing the stages of your form — Contact Info, Address, Results — with the fields available to whichever one is active underneath; the pages your client walks through in the middle; and the inspector on the right, which changes to match what you have selected.

Add and reorder questions

Click a section to make it active, then find what you need in the field list below it — there's a Search fields... box if the list is long. Drag a field onto a page to add it. Fields already on the form are marked Added, and a lock icon means the field is part of the section by default.

Use the up and down arrows beside a page card to move it, the trash icon to delete it, and Add Page to add another. Click Enter page title... at the top of a card to name it. Every section needs at least one page, and saving fails if you leave one empty.

To reorder questions inside a block, select it and drag the rows in the inspector by their handles. Some fields depend on another being answered first, and the inspector tells you which field one must come after if you move it too early.

Edit a question

Click a row in the inspector to open that field. You get:

• Display Label — the wording your client sees. Leave it blank to use the default
• Help text — an optional note shown with the field
• Required — check this to make the answer mandatory. Fields that are always required can't be unchecked
• Conditional Labels — some fields reword themselves based on earlier answers. Each case is described in plain English, such as "Only shown for non-primary drivers", and you can override that wording

The eye icon on a row hides a field without removing it; a lock icon instead means it can't be hidden. To take a whole block off the form, select it and click Remove Block — blocks the form can't work without say so instead.

Other languages

Under Form Settings, open Languages to pick which languages your form offers, then click Edit beside one to write your own translations. English is always on.

Click Save in the top bar when you're done.
